On June 30, 2021, the Chief Minister (CM) of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, launched a mobile app ‘Jan Sahayak-Aapka Sahayak’ from Chandigarh to ensure ‘anywhere-anytime-anybody ‘ delivery of Government to Citizen (G2C) and Business to Citizen (B2C) services under single digital platform.
- This app contains necessary information about various government services, emergency helplines and other information.
- Haryana is already providing more than 551 government services and schemes of 42 departments through Saral Portal.
Key Points:
i.Through Jan Sahayak-Aapka Sahayak, any citizen can avail all the emergency services (direct dialling) including 112 (emergency calls), 100 (police), 108 (ambulances), 101 (fire), 104 (health), 1091 (women’s helpline), 1098 (children’s helpline number) and 1075 (Covid-19 helpline).
ii.Other services include department-wise services, user wise services, public grievances and RTI (Right To Information), along with bill payment, travel, jobs, sports infrastructure, skill development etc.
Launch of Mukhyamantri Shehri Nikay Swamitva Yojana” portal
For giving ownership rights to property holders, CM also launched ‘Mukhyamantri Shehri Nikay Swamitva Yojana’ portal.
About Scheme:
i.Under this, those having houses, shops of the municipality on a lease or rent basis for the past 20 years can get ownership rights by registering on the portal.
ii.The occupiers will get a maximum of up to 50% discount on the present collector rate.
Launch of first of its kind ‘DSM AC Scheme’ for Domestic Consumers
Haryana power minister Ranjit Singh Chautala launched first of its kind ‘Demand Side Management-AC Scheme’ for the domestic consumers of urban and rural areas to promote energy conservation.
- In this regard, the Power Department has tied up with Deccan, Blue Star and Voltas, which will provide electricity cost saving split ACs of 1.5 ton capacity at a discount of up to 59% of the Minimum Retail Price (MRP) to the state people.
- Interested people will have to apply by August 24, 2021.
Key Points:
i.People can also buy an AC in exchange for their old one.
ii.Haryana Government will also provide a subsidy of Rs 2,000 on buying a new AC in urban areas and Rs 4,000 on replacement of the old AC. In rural areas, a subsidy of Rs.4000 will be given for buying a new AC and Rs.8,000 for replacement of old AC.
iii.These energy saving ACs will save 657 power units in comparison to the old 3 star ACs and there will be annual savings of up to Rs 5,000.
iv.Along with the above benefits, consumers will also get a warranty on compressors for up to 10 years and all other equipment up to one year.
