Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri launches E-Sampada web portal

On December 25, 2020, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Hardeep Singh Puri virtually launched ‘E-Sampada’ – web portal & Mobile app on Good Governance Day 2020.E-Sampada will serve as a single window for Management of all Government of India (GoI) Estate services. It has been developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC).

i.E-Sampada is an integration of Four Websites (gpra.nic.in, eawas.nic.in, estates.gov.in, holidayhomes.nic.in), and two Mobile Apps (m-Awas & m-Ashoka5) of the Directorate of Estates.

ii.The application will be a major step towards bringing uniformity across estate systems in India  on line of ‘One Nation, One System’.

iii.It is also aimed at improving transparency & accountability in the services.

Key Points:

i.Some of the services provided by GoI Estate services are allotment of government residential accommodations, office space allotment to government organisations, booking of holiday home rooms, booking of venues for social functions.

ii.The portal will also serve as a facility to lodge complaints, submit documents & appear for virtual hearing.

iii.The availability of real time information on utilization of assets & delivery of service will help in better usage of resources.

iv.Automation will reduce human intervention leading to greater transparency.

v.The platform is also equipped with a Chatbot facility for better user experience.

The platform was launched by Hardeep S Puri in the presence of Durga Shanker Mishra, Secretary, MoHUA among others.
