On November 22, 2020, FLO (FICCI Ladies Organization), the women’s wing of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Incubation and Enterprise Support Centre (IESC) of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Shillong to mentor women’s entrepreneurs.
- IESC chairperson Sanjeeb Kakoty and FLO national president Jahnabi Phookan signed the deal for their respective organisations.
Objective:
Through this MoU, FLO aims to create an independent Entrepreneurial ecosystem to empower women, make themselves self-sufficient and to transform women into Job Creators.
Key Points:
i.The MoU will create a sustainable ecosystem within FLO to identify potential start-ups and provide entrepreneurs with necessary guidance and support.
ii.A nurturing, instructive and supportive environment will be created to help entrepreneurs in the initial and critical stages of their business.
iii.The Guidance and mentorship will help in reducing the initial startup costs and to establish their businesses in a short timespan.
