Eurasian Foundation organised the Indo Russian Young Scholars International E-conference 2020 on “India-Russia domestic and bilateral development” from 3rd September 2020 to 5th September 2020 over a virtual platform.2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the Declaration of Strategic Partnership between India and Russia.It also marks 75th anniversary of victory day of Russia.
The event was organised in collaboration with Indian Centre, Institute of Oriental studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia and Russian Centre of Science and Culture, New Delhi.
Note:- 75th anniversary of victory day for Russia marking the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
About the E-Conference 2020:
i.The three day e-conference was started by Prof Arun Mohanty, founding father and architect of Eurasia Foundation.
ii.Around 350 Academicians, diplomats and policy makers from Bangladesh, China, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Philippines, India and Russia participated in the conference.
Aim:
To assemble all the young minds of India and Russia into a single platform and to provide space to voice out their ideas and aspirations and to strengthen the bilateral relationship between India and Russia.
Features:
i.V Muraleedharan Minister of State of External Affairs & Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India emphasized the progress of both India and Russia in the aspects of COVID, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Make in India and global world order.
ii.The conference had benefiting discussion on technical aspects by the young researchers from Institute of Oriental studies, Moscow State University, MGIMO, Lipetsk State Pedagogical University, Lipetsk, Russia, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Mumbai University, Kashmir University, Jadavpur University, Kerala Central University and Pondicherry University.
iii.Wide range of topics on special and privileged strategic partnership, bilateral cooperation and social cultural relations were discussed.
iv.The speakers highlighted the geopolitical situation of India and Russia and the role of youth in continuing the bilateral relationship.
Assurance of Eurasian Foundation:
In collaboration with the Universities and Institutions Eurasian Foundation will strengthen the bilateral relation between India and to increase the role of India in Eurasian region and continue the legacy of the late Prof Arun Mohanty.

i.India participated in the Tehran Dialogue Forum, the 23rd Persian Gulf International Conference held in Tehran, Iran from January 06- 07, 2020. During the forum, India supported the Hormuz Peace initiative 2020.
ii.The International Conference on Nano Science and Technology 2020 (ICONSAT) was held at Biswa Bangla Conventional Centre, Kolkata. The event was supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) & organized by S.N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata.
