1. prophecy – prediction, भविश्यवाणी
Meaning – a prediction of what will happen in the future.
usage – “a bleak prophecy of war and ruin”.
synonyms – prediction, forecast, prognostication, prognosis, divination, augury etc.
2. Ingrains – instill, अन्तर्निहित
Meaning – (of a habit, belief, or attitude) firmly fixed or established; difficult to change.
Usage – “his deeply ingrained Catholic convictions”
Synonyms – entrenched, established, fixed, implanted, deep-rooted, rooted, deep-seated, settled, firm, unshakeable, ineradicable etc.
3. Empirical – experimental, अनुभवजन्य
Meaning – based on, concerned with, or verifiable by observation or experience rather than theory or pure logic.
Usage – “they provided considerable empirical evidence to support their argument”.
Synonyms – observed, seen, factual, actual, real, verifiable, first-hand; experimental, experiential; practical, pragmatic, hands-on, applied etc.
4. Peasant – farmer class, कृषक वर्ग
Meaning – A peasant is a member of a traditional class of farmers, either laborers or owners of small farms.
Usage – “peasant farmers”
synonyms – agricultural worker, small farmer, rustic, son of the soil, countryman, countrywoman, farmhand, swain, villein, serf; paysan; muzhik, kulak; campesino, paisano; contadino; fellah; ryot; archaiccarl, cottier, kern, hind.
5. Extol – praise, प्रंशसा
Meaning – praise enthusiastically.
Usage – “he extolled the virtues of the Russian peoples”
synonyms – praise enthusiastically, go into raptures about/over, wax lyrical about, sing the praises of, praise to the skies, heap praise on, eulogize, rhapsodize over, rave about, enthuse about/over, gush about/over, throw bouquets at, express delight over.
6. Clumsy – awkward, बेढंगा
Meaning – awkward in movement or in handling things.
Usage – “the cold made his fingers clumsy”
synonyms – awkward, uncoordinated, ungainly, graceless, ungraceful, inelegant, gawky, gauche, gangling, cloddish, blundering, lumbering; bungling, bumbling, fumbling, inept, maladroit, unskilful, inexpert, unhandy, accident-prone.
7. Refutation – disproof, खंडन
Meaning – to prove wrong by argument or evidence :, show to be false or erroneous.
Usage – refuted the allegations.
8. Persistent – continuous, लगातार
Meaning – continuing firmly or obstinately in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.
Usage – “one of the government’s most persistent critics”
synonyms – tenacious, persevering, determined, resolute, purposeful, dogged, single-minded, tireless, indefatigable, pertinacious, patient, diligent, assiduous, sedulous etc.
9. Inadequate – insufficient, अपर्याप्तता
Meaning – the state or quality of being inadequate; lack of the quantity or quality required.
Usage – “the inadequacy of available resources”
synonyms – insufficiency, deficiency, scantness, scarcity, scarceness, sparseness, dearth, paucity, poverty, shortage, want, lack, undersupply etc.
10. Indelible – unerasable, अमिट
Meaning – (of ink or a pen) making marks that cannot be removed.
Usage – “an indelible marker pen”
synonyms – ineradicable, inerasable, ineffaceable, unexpungeable, indestructible, permanent, lasting, persisting, enduring, stubborn, ingrained, unfading, imperishable etc.
9. Penchant – preference, झुकाव
Meaning – a strong or habitual liking for something or tendency to do something.
Usage – “he has a penchant for adopting stray dogs”
10. Spearheading – leading, अगुवाई
Meaning – lead (an attack or movement).
usage – “he’s spearheading a campaign to reduce the number of accidents at work”
synonyms – lead, head, front, be the driving force behind; be in the forefront of, be in the front line of, lead the way in/for, be in the van of, be in the vanguard of etc
