1. Polemic – वाद-विवाद
Meaning – of or involving strongly critical or disputatious writing or speech
Usage – “a polemical essay”
Synonyms – critical, hostile, bitter, polemic, virulent, vitriolic, venomous, waspish, corrosive, biting, caustic, trenchant, cutting, acerbic, sardonic, sarcastic, scathing, acid, sharp, keen, tart, pungent, stinging, astringent, incisive, devastating, piercing.
2. Nostrum – रामबाण दवा
Meaning – a medicine prepared by an unqualified person, especially one that is not considered effective.
Usage – a charlatan who sells nostrums”
Synonyms – patent medicine, quack remedy, potion, elixir, panacea, cure-all, cure for all ills, universal remedy, sovereign remedy, wonder drug, magic bullet.
3. Esoteric – गुप्त
Meaning – intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest.

6. Fervor – उत्साह
Meaning – intense and passionate feeling.
Usage – “he talked with all the fervour of a new convert”

8. Grievous – दुखद
Meaning – (of something bad) very severe or serious.

9. Fugitive – भगोड़ा
Meaning – person who has escaped from captivity or is in hiding.
Usage – “fugitives from justice”

10. Germane – उचित
Meaning – relevant to a subject under consideration.
Usage – “that is not germane to our theme”
