1. Concomitant – सहगाम़ी

Meaning – naturally accompanying or associated.

Usage – “she loved travel, with all its concomitant worries”

Synonyms – attendant, accompanying, associated, collateral, related, connected, linked; accessory, auxiliary; resultant, resulting, consequent etc.

2. Escalation – वृद्धि

Meaning – a rapid increase; a rise.

Usage – “cost escalations”

Synonyms – intensification, aggravation, exacerbation, compounding, increase, enlargement, magnification, mushrooming, amplification, augmentation; expansion, stepping-up, build-up, buildout, heightening, widening, worsening; deterioration etc.

3. casualty – दुर्घटना

Meaning – person killed or injured in a war or accident.

Usage – “the shelling caused thousands of civilian casualties”

Synonyms – victim, fatality, mortality; loss, MIA; dead and injured/wounded, missing in action, missing etc.

4. daunting – fearful, भयप्रद/ चुनौत़ीपूणश

Meaning – seeming difficult to deal with in prospect; intimidating.

Usage – “a daunting task”

Synonyms – intimidating, formidable, disconcerting, unnerving, unsettling, dismaying; discouraging, disheartening, dispiriting, demoralizing; forbidding, ominous, awesome, frightening, fearsome; challenging, taxing, exacting etc.

5. Snuggle – ठहरना

Meaning – settle or move into a warm, comfortable position.

Usage – “I snuggled down in my sleeping bag”

Synonyms – nestle, curl up, huddle (up), cuddle up (to), nuzzle (up to), settle etc.

6. Enumerate – गिनना

Meaning – mention (a number of things) one by one.

Usage – “there is not space to enumerate all his works”

Synonyms – list, itemize, catalogue, set out, set forth, give; cite, name, mention, specify, identify, spell out, detail, particularize; summarize, recount, recite, rehearse, recapitulate, quote, relate; run through, reel off etc.

7. nudge – कुहनी से हलका धक्का

Meaning – prod (someone) gently with one’s elbow in order to attract attention.

Usage – “people were nudging each other and pointing at me”

Synonyms – poke, elbow, dig, prod, jog, jab, butt etc.

8. semblance – दिखावा

Meaning – the outward appearance or apparent form of something, especially when the reality is different.

Usage – “she tried to force her thoughts back into some semblance of order”

Synonyms – appearance, outward appearance, approximation, show, air, guise, pretence, facade, front, veneer etc.

9. Glitch – गड़बड़

Meaning – a sudden, usually temporary malfunction or fault of equipment.

Usage – “a draft version was lost in a computer glitch”

10. steadfastly – लगातार

Meaning – resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering.

Usage – “steadfast loyalty”

Synonyms – firm, determined, resolute, steady, staunch, stalwart, stout, relentless, implacable, single-minded; unchanging, unwavering, unhesitating, unfaltering, unswerving, unyielding, unflinching, inflexible, uncompromising etc.
