1. Inextricable – unresolvable, असमाधेय
Meaning – impossible to disentangle or separate.
Synonyms – inseparable, impossible to separate, indivisible, entangled, tangled, ravelled etc.
Usage – “the past and the present are inextricable”
2. Idempotent – unchanged, अपरिवर्तित
Meaning – denoting an element of a set which is unchanged in value when multiplied or otherwise operated on by itself.
3. Fugacious – temporary, अस्थायी रूप से
Meaning – tending to disappear
Synonyms – fleeting.
Usage – “she was acutely conscious of her fugacious youth”
4. Rhetoric – empty words, शब्दाड़म्बर
Meaning – the art of effective or persuasive speaking or writing, especially the exploitation of figures of speech and other compositional techniques.
Synonyms – oratory, eloquence, power of speech, command of language, expression, way with words, delivery, diction etc.
Usage – “he was considered to excel in this form of rhetoric”
5. Quibble – raising irrelevant objection, बाल की खाल निकालना
Meaning – a slight objection or criticism.
Synonyms – minor criticism, trivial objection, trivial complaint, adverse comment, protest, query, argument, exception, moan, grumble, grouse, cavil.
Usage – “the only quibble about this book is the price”
6. Cynics – faultfinder, निंदक
Meaning – a person who believes that people are motivated purely by self-interest rather than acting for honourable or unselfish reasons.
Usage – “some cynics thought that the controversy was all a publicity stunt”
7. Kerfuffle – disruption, हंगामा
Meaning – a commotion or fuss, especially one caused by conflicting views.
Usage – “there was a kerfuffle over the chairmanship”
8. Hegemony – dominance, प्रभुत्व
Meaning – leadership or dominance, especially by one state or social group over others.
Synonyms – leadership, dominance, dominion, supremacy, ascendancy, predominance, primacy, authority, mastery, control, power, sway, rule, sovereignty.
Usage – “Germany was united under Prussian hegemony after 1871”
9. Entrenched – established, स्थापित
Meaning – (of an attitude, habit, or belief) firmly established and difficult or unlikely to change; ingrained.
Usage – “an entrenched resistance to change”
10. Amenable – compliant, सुवश्य
Meaning – open and responsive to suggestion; easily persuaded or controlled.
Synonyms – compliant, acquiescent, biddable, manageable, controllable, governable, persuadable, tractable, responsive, pliant, flexible, malleable, complaisant.
Usage – “an easy-going, amenable child”
