1. Exodus – गमन
Meaning – a mass departure of people.
Synonyms – mass departure, withdrawal, evacuation, leaving, exit; migration, emigration, hegira, diaspora; flight, escape, retreat, fleeing; informalchicken run.
Usage – a mass exodus of refugees from the stricken city.
2. Myopic – कमबीन
Meaning – short-sighted.
Synonyms – short-sighted; nearsighted; informalas blind as a bat; archaicpurblind.
Usage – most myopic children can be fitted with glasses to correct their vision.
3. Sublime – उदात्त
Meaning – of very great excellence or beauty.

4. Reticent – अल्पभाषी
Meaning – not revealing one’s thoughts or feelings readily.
Synonyms – reserved, withdrawn, introverted, restrained, inhibited, diffident, shy, modest, unassuming, shrinking, distant, undemonstrative, wouldn’t say boo to a goose; uncommunicative, unforthcoming, unresponsive, tight-lipped, close-mouthed, close-lipped, quiet, taciturn, silent, guarded, secretive, private, media-shy.
Usage – she was extremely reticent about her personal affairs.
5. Callous – कठोर
Meaning – showing or having an insensitive and cruel disregard for others.
Synonyms – heartless, unfeeling, uncaring, cold, cold-hearted, hard, as hard as nails, hard-hearted, with a heart of stone, stony-hearted, insensitive, lacking compassion, hard-bitten, cold-blooded, hardened, case-hardened, harsh, cruel, ruthless, brutal; unsympathetic, uncharitable, indifferent, unconcerned, unsusceptible, insensible, bloodless, soulless.

6. Sobriety – संयम
Meaning – the state of being sober.
Synonyms – soberness, clear-headedness; abstinence, teetotalism, non-indulgence; abstemiousness, temperance, moderation, moderateness.
Usage – he hated her more in his sobriety than when he was drunk.
7. Timorous – कातर
Meaning – showing or suffering from nervousness or a lack of confidence.
Synonyms – easily frightened, lacking courage, fearful, apprehensive, faint-hearted; trembling, quaking, cowering, weak-kneed; shy, diffident, bashful, self-effacing, shrinking, unassuming, unassertive, reserved, retiring, reticent, quiet, timid, nervous, modest, demure, coy, meek.

8. Deviate – हटना
Meaning – depart from an established course.
Synonyms – diverge, digress, drift, stray, slew, veer, swerve, turn away, turn aside, get sidetracked, branch off, differ, vary, change, depart, be different; be at variance with, run counter to, contrast with, contravene.
Usage – you must not deviate from the agreed route.
9. Slave – दास
Meaning – (especially in the past) a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them.
Synonyms – bondsman, bondswoman, bondservant, bondslave, serf, vassal, thrall; historicalhelot, odalisque, blackbird, hierodule.
Usage – most of the work on the land was done by slaves.
10. Stingy – कंजूस
Meaning – mean; ungenerous.
