1. Jeopardy – ख़तरा

Meaning – danger of loss, harm, or failure.

Synonyms – danger, peril; at risk; endangerment, imperilment, insecurity; perilousness, riskiness, precariousness, uncertainty, instability, vulnerability, threat, menace.

Usage – the whole peace process is in jeopardy.

2. Illustrate – उदाहरण देकर स्पष्ट करना

Meaning – provide (a book, newspaper, etc.) with pictures.

Synonyms – decorate, adorn, ornament, embellish, accompany.

Usage – the guide is illustrated with full-colour photographs.

3. Prosaic – नीरस

Meaning – having or using the style or diction of prose as opposed to poetry; lacking imaginativeness or originality.

4. Craven – डरपोक

Meaning – contemptibly lacking in courage; cowardly.

Meaning – (of a bird or other winged creature) fly unsteadily or hover by flapping the wings quickly and lightly.

10. Repartee – हाजिर जवाबी

Meaning – conversation or speech characterized by quick, witty comments or replies.

Synonyms – banter, badinage, witty conversation, bantering, raillery, witticism, crosstalk, wordplay, patter; witty remarks, witticisms, ripostes, sallies, quips; joking, jesting, teasing, chaff.

Usage – he had a quick mind and a splendid gift of repartee.
