Embassy Group Signs MoU with Govt of Karnataka to Improve Government Schools in Bangalore

On November 11, 2020 The Embassy Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with the Department of Education, Government of Karnataka,  for the all-round improvement of Government Schools in Bengaluru(Bangalore), Karnataka.

  • This MoU will be effective for a period of 2 years(October 2020- September 2022).
  • With this signing, the previous MoU which was signed in November 2018 has been renewed

Scope of MoU:

To provide educational resources, infrastructural support and health programs for 20 Government Schools at a cost of Rs 15 crores.

About the MoU:

i.Under the MoU, the Embassy group will implement educational programs that include annual distribution of starter kits, Maths, Life Skills, among others.

ii.New school buildings, repairs & renovations and daily maintenance, will also be provided by the Embassy group to these adopted govt schools.

Since 2016, the embassy group has been providing  preventative and detective health interventions in Government Schools.

Embassy, in collaboration with Cerner (their corporate partner in CSR- Corporate Social Responsibility Healthcare initiatives), has designed a 7-step program to deal with the general lack of understanding of preventative measures to combat common health problems.

The Embassy has instituted a series of relief initiatives for their adopted Government Schools, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Health kits are being distributed to  8,400 students across 34 Govt. Schools in Bangalore by the embassy group and its partners.

Apart from the  regular health kit items, a set of reusable masks, awareness poster and other common ailments was given.

Note

The embassy group has distributed more than 3.77 meals through dry rations for Government School students and their families, till date throughout the lockdown.
