EESL partners with MECON to support energy efficiency in steel Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL), under the Ministry of Power, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Metallurgical & Engineering Consultants (MECON) Ltd, under the Ministry of Steel, to implement Energy Efficient & Clean energy solutions in the Steel & Mining Industries.

 i.Under this partnership, EESL will implement LED lights, replace conventional motors with energy efficient motors and build charging infrastructure for Electric Vehicles (EV) in the steel Industry.

Signatories – Anil Choudhary, Chief General Manager EESL and UK Vishwakarma, Chief General Manager (Marketing) MECON

ii.EESL and MECON will train Mining plant executives on Energy Management, Maintenance Management, Water Management and Safety Engineering.

iii.EESL is a Joint Venture company owned by NTPC Limited, Power Finance Corporation, Rural Electrification Corporation and POWERGRID
