DBS, a leading financial services group headquartered in Singapore, tops the Forbes list of the World’s Best Banks 2021 in India. DBS ranked number 1 out of the 30 domestic and international banks in India for the 2nd consecutive year.
This is the 3rd edition of the World’s Best Banks’ list by Forbes.
This survey on the banking relations of around 43000 banking customers in 28 countries was conducted by Forbes in partnership with Statista, a Market research firm.
- The DBS has also topped the World’s Best Banks 2021 in Indonesia and has secured the 2nd rank under Singapore category and 10th under Taiwan category.
World’s Best Banks’ 2021(India):
i.CSB Bank, based in Kerala, secured the 2nd rank followed by ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Axis Bank.
ii.The State Bank of India (SBI) has ranked 7th on the list.
iii.India Post Payments Bank has secured the 11th rank and the Paytm Payments Banks have been ranked 16th on the list.
iv.Andhra Pradesh State Co-operative Bank (ranked 14th) is the only cooperative bank featured among the 30 domestic and international banks in India.

Presence of DBS in India:
i.The amalgamation of Lakshmi Vilas Bank with DBS Bank India Limited (DBIL) in November 2020 has increased the physical presence of the DBS in India.
ii.DBS has around 600 branches across 19 states in India.
