The exhibition showcased the best practices in urban transport in India and aboard, latest urban transport technologies and got the participation of more than 2200 delegates including more than 50 participants from abroad.
The UMI 2024 saw the participation of around 76 exhibitors from Metro Rail Companies and public and private sectors.
The conference has also focused upon the aim for clean air cities, urban freight, urban transport solutions for small and middle towns in India.
During the closing ceremony, the winners of ‘Best Practices Project in Urban Transport’ were awarded to state and city authorities in a total of 9 categories.
Bhubaneswar (Odisha) was awarded the title of the ‘City with the Best Public Transport System’ at the Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference & Exhibition 2024.
UMI originates from the 2006 National Urban Transport Policy (NUTP), which focuses upon developing State and city-level capacities to overcome urban transport challenges and develop sustainable solutions.
