    i. The exercises covered all domains of maritime operations viz. air, surface, and sub-surface.

    • The first contract, worth over Rs 2,800 crore, pertains to the supply of MPR ‘Arudhra’ for IAF. The second contract, at an overall cost of approx. Rs 950 crore, relates to 129 DR-118 RWR
    i. Both projects are under the Buy {Indian – IDMM (Indigenously Designed Developed and Manufactured)} category.

    According to a TransUnion CIBIL-SIDBI MSME Pulse Report 2023, loan disbursements to the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector in Q2 (July-September) FY23 grew 24% year-on-year (y-o-y), with significant growth in the micro segment.
    • Micro, small and medium segments saw a growth of 54%, 23% and 8% in disbursements, respectively.
    i. The total MSME credit exposure as of Q2FY23 is at Rs 22.9 lakh crores, reflecting a YoY growth rate of 10.6%.
    ii. The top ten States based on current outstanding MSME lending balances are Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Telangana & Haryana.
    iii. MSME Pulse Report: It was launched in 2018 by SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India) in association with TransUnion CIBIL.

    i. The new weapon, called “Haeil,” is a nuclear underwater attack drone that can be towed by a surface ship or deployed from any port or coast.
    ii. It is intended to discreetly enter operational waters and explode underwater to cause a catastrophic radioactive wave that will destroy enemy naval strike groups and significant operational ports.

    • The day was observed to create awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of tuberculosis (TB) and the efforts to end the global TB epidemic.
    • The first-ever World TB Day was observed in 1983.
    i. On the occasion on World TB Day 2023, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the expanded scope of the WHO Director-General’s (DG) Flagship Initiative on tuberculosis over the period from 2023 to 2027 to support fast-tracking progress towards ending TB and achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by 2030.
    • In India, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and Stop TB Partnership has organised “One World TB Summit” at Rudrakash Convention Centre, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh(UP).
