PM Narendra Modi Virtually Inaugurates India’s First Global MRO facility of Safran ‘SAESI’ in Hyderabad, Telangana
On November 26, 2025, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated Safran Aircraft Engine Services India (SAESI) facility, India’s first global aircraft engine Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) facility built by France based Safran S.A, at the GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park – Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport(RGIA), in Hyderabad, Telangana.

  • During the event, he also virtually inaugurated the Infinity Campus of Skyroot Aerospace Private Limited and unveiled Vikram-I, India’s first developed orbital rocket.

About Safran Aircraft Engine Services India (SAESI) facility
Overview: SAESI, spanning 45,000 square metres (sq. m) is a modern MRO centre dedicated to servicing Leading Edge Aviation Propulsion (LEAP) engines, which power aircraft such as Airbus A320neo family and Boeing 737 MAX.
Budget: The facility, with a budget outlay of approximately Rs.1300 crores (USD 145 million), is equipped with engine test cells, state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, high-precision repair systems, component inspection & overhaul station.
About Skyroot Infinity Campus: Skyroot Infinity Campus, spanning approximately 200,000 square feet (sq ft), is a dedicated facility for designing, developing, integrating, and testing rockets.
About Vikram-I Rocket: 
Overview: Vikram-I Rocket, an orbital-class rocket, is approximately 20 metres (m) tall with a diameter of 1.7 (m) and designed to carry a payload of approximately 300-350 Kilogram (kg) to Low Earth Orbit (LEO). Its maiden flight is expected in 2026.
Significance: The Vikram series, named after Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the father of the Indian Space Programme, is being developed to tap into the rapidly growing multi-million-dollar small satellite launch market.

DAHD Released Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics 2025In November 2025, Union Minister of State (MoS) Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying (MoFAHD)and Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) released the annual publication of ‘Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics (BAHS-2025)’ on the occasion of National Milk Day (observed on November 26, 2025) at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi, Delhi.

  • BAHS 2025 of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), provides comprehensive data on the livestock and dairy sector trends in the country.

Key Findings:
Milk Production: At present, India ranks 1st in milk production globally.
Increase in Milk Production: As per the latest survey, India’s total milk production is estimated as 247.87 Million Tonnes (MT)during 2024-25 compared to 239.30 MT production registered in 2023-24, marking 3.58% Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) growth.

  • Top 5 Milk Producing States: Uttar Pradesh (UP) (15.66%) topped among all major milk producing states in India; followed by Rajasthan (14.82%), Madhya Pradesh (MP) (9.12%), Gujarat (7.78%), and Maharashtra (6.71%).

Egg Production: Currently, India is 2nd in egg production worldwide. The survey revealed that overall total egg production in the country is estimated as 149.11 billion numbers (nos.) during 2024-25, registering a 3.18% Y-o-Y increase.

  • Top 5 Egg Producing States: Andhra Pradesh (AP) with the share of 18.37% of total egg production, has topped among all states in egg production; followed by Tamil Nadu (TN)(15.63%), Telangana (12.98%), West Bengal (WB)(10.72%), and Karnataka(6.67%).

Overview of 44th IITF Held in New Delhi, Delhi
The 44th edition of India International Trade Fair (IITF), one of India’s largest trade and business exhibitions,  was held from November 14 to 27, 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, Delhi, under the theme ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.

  • IITF-2025 was inaugurated by Union Minister of State (MoS) Jitin Prasada, MoC&I and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

About IITF-2025:
Organiser: The 14-day long trade fair was organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), which works under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I).
Partner States and Focus State: This year, Uttar Pradesh (UP), Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Bihar were the partner states of IITF-2025, while Jharkhand was the focus state.
IITF 2025 Awards: IITF-2025 concluded successfully with an Award Presentation ceremony held at the Musical Fountain Stage at Bharat Mandapam.

  • Dr. Neeraj Kharwal, Managing Director (MD) of ITPO, presented the IITF 2025 Awards for Excellence in Display.

Key Winners: Rajasthan Bihar, Uttar Pradesh (UP) received the Gold, Silver and Bronze medal, respectively  in the partner states category, while Maharashtra received the Special Commendation certificate in the same category.

Union MoS Dr. Jitendra Singh Inaugurates Two DWRs, Solar Power System, Meteorological Museum On November 27, 2025, Union Minister of State (MoS) Independent Charge (IC), Dr. Jitendra Singh, Ministry of Science and Technology (MoS&T), inaugurated three major initiatives of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), enhancing India’s meteorological infrastructure, promoting Renewable Energy(RE), and strengthening public engagement in science.

  • These initiatives comprise two indigenously developed Doppler Weather Radars (DWRs) in Raipur (Chhattisgarh) and Mangaluru (Karnataka), along with a solar power system and a Meteorological Museum at Mausam Bhawan, New Delhi(Delhi), designed to benefit students and young learners.

  • It provides improved forecasts for Chhattisgarh, interior Odisha, Eastern Madhya Pradesh (MP), Southwest Jharkhand, and Southern East Uttar Pradesh (UP).

Mangaluru: The DWR in Mangaluru, is the first IMD radar in Karnataka. It has 250 km of coverage to monitor the Arabian Sea, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, South Maharashtra, and Northern Lakshadweep.

  • It can track cyclones, thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, hailstorms, squalls, and turbulence, thereby strengthening disaster preparedness along the west coast and aiding short-range weather forecasting.

Meteorological Museum:
Inspiration: The museum showcases IMD’s 150‑year journey to inspire students and young learners.
Technology: It showcases historic weather instruments, radar and satellite components, upper air-observation systems, and communication tools, with interactive Audio-Visual (AV) facilities for educational purposes.
About Solar Power System:
Installation: A 771-kilowatt peak (kWp) solar power system has been installed at Mausam Bhawan, New Delhi.
Implementation: The system consists of 1,315 solar panels and was set up by the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).
Significance: It supports Renewable Energy(RE) adoption, helps reduce electricity costs, and reinforces IMD’s commitment to sustainability and clean energy.

Railtel Signs Agreement with Nokia to Modernize its NLD & Optical Transport Network across India
On November 25, 2025, Railtel Corporation of India Limited (Railtel), under Ministry of Railways (MoR), signed an agreement with Nokia Corporation (Nokia) to upgrade its National Long-Distance (NLD) and metro optical transport networks across India.

DWDM: It enables multiple light wavelengths to travel through the same fiber, significantly multiplying data capacity without laying new cables.

India, Afghanistan Set to Create Bilateral Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry
In November 2025, India and Afghanistan agreed to create a bilateral Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the visit of Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, Afghan Minister of Commerce and Industry, to India from November 19 to 25, 2025.

  • The chamber will serve as the central platform for business matchmaking, policy coordination, trade facilitation, and investment promotion.

IIT Madras Deploys India’s First Indigenous VTMS for Ports in Kerala
In November 2025, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras),
in Chennai(Tamil Nadu, TN), has developed and deployed India’s first Indigenous Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS) for ports.

  • The system has been operational at the Vizhinjam International Seaport Limited (VISL) in Kerala since its inauguration by Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi in May 2025.

Telangana Launched India’s First Bioprocess Design and Scale-Up Facility ‘1 Bio’ in Genome Valley, Hyderabad
In November 2025, the Government of Telangana launched 1 Bio, India’s first single-use bioprocess design and scale-up facility, at Genome Valley, Hyderabad, Telangana.

  • The facility was inaugurated by D. Sridhar Babu, Minister of Information Technology(IT), Electronics & Communication, Industries & Commerce and Legislative Affairs, Telangana, who also unveiled a new logo to celebrate 25 years of Genome Valley.

Collaborations : Developed through a Public-Private Partnership(PPP) with Telangana Lifesciences (TGLS); Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC); Department of Biotechnology (DBT) under the Ministry of Science and Technology(MoS&T); and Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc..
Technical Capabilities: Equipped with single-use bioreactors up to 500 litres, advanced upstream and downstream bioprocess systems, dedicated and shared analytical suites, and supports 200–250 researchers and scientists annually.

Nepal Releases NPR 100 Currency Note Featuring 3 Indian Territories ‘Kalapani, Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura
On November 27, 2025, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the Central Bank of Nepal, released a new Nepalese Rupee (NPR) 100 which features Nepal’s revised political map, including disputed territories like Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura as part of Nepal.

  • Currently, the three territories are controlled by the Government of India (GOI) but claimed by Nepal.

IMF Report: India’s GDP to Grow at 6.6% in FY26; FX Regime Reclassified
In November 2025, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) released its latest ‘India: 2025 Article IV Consultation’ report projecting India’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to grow at 6.6% in Financial Year 2025-26(FY26).

  • The report noted that India’s latest Goods and Services Tax (GST 2.0) reforms are expected to mitigate the impact of the United States of America (USA’s) 50% tariffs.

  • Previously, India was moved from a ‘floating’ category to ‘stabilized arrangement’ in 2023.
  • A “crawl‑like arrangement” is an exchange rate system with gradual, small periodic currency adjustments.

India’s CEC Gyanesh Kumar to Chair IIDEA in 2026
On November 27, 2025, Election Commission of India (ECI) announced that Gyanesh Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), will assume the Chair of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IIDEA) on December 3, 2025, during the Council of Member States meeting in Stockholm, Sweden.

In November 2025, the World Bank Group (WBG) announced the appointment of Paschal Donohoe, former Minister for Finance of Ireland, as its Managing Director (MD) and Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) effective from November 24, 2025, bringing extensive public- and private-sector experience to the position.
