The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has created & launched an in-house mobile Application(app), ‘Pensioners Corner’to get in touch with the pensioners and to bring them to the digital platform as a one stop solution. It will also cater to the needs of its pensioners. It is a part of its ‘e-karyalay’ , an electronic office app launched in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gist about Pensioners Corner
i.Through Pensioners Corner app, the pensioners will be connected to the CISF units across the country.
ii.The app will have an SMS(Short Message Service) invitation system, which will notify the pensioners on important events happening at their nearest CISF unit.
iii.It will have an inbuilt grievance redressal mechanism. All the important circulars like job opportunities and benefits relating to pensioners can also be accessed by the app.
iv.It will be available in web and Android platforms with the facility for pensioners to access their data on the move.
Key Info
On connecting with the ex-force personnel through this digital platform will encourage and boost the self-esteem of personnel, who dedicated their life to the country’s asset, including from some of the remotest locations of the country.
About e-Karyalay
i.It was launched to tackle the unforeseen COVID-19 situation and to ensure continuous functions in the office. It imitates all the functions of the traditional file movement in CISF.
ii.It includes a digital signature feature, to handle concerns related to various securities to keep up with the current standards.
iii.It has been hosted at CISF cloud, with all security arrangements to protect the data.
iv.A data recovery site has also been set up to maintain 24X7 services of the app.
v.This “Green Initiative” has minimised the Govt. money to about 1 crore.

Around 1.62 lakh personnel is present in the national civil aviation security force, who are tasked to guard vital installations in the nuclear and aerospace domain of the country
