On 28th May 2020, The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan launched 1st of its kind scheme ‘Rozgar Setu Yojana’ to support and provide employment to the migrant workers who returned to the state in the COVID-19 situation and to meet the workers requirements of the industries.
MP Rojgar Setu Portal:
The government of Madhya Pradesh launched a portal ‘MP Rojgar Setu Portal’ for the unemployed migrants to register and find jobs in the field related to their skills.
Eligibility for the scheme:
- Workers with permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh
- Holders of Samagra ID, if not generate the same.
- Last date for submitting the online application is 3rd June 2020
Skilled sectors for employment:
- Construction
- Brick kiln mining
- Textile factories
- Agriculture field
- Government sectors of Madhya Pradesh
- Other factories of state
Database under Swamitva scheme
Objective– Survey Scheme is to prepare the land right records of village properties and to provide ownership to each property owner.
Madhya Pradesh Government is preparing a database under the Swamitva scheme launched on a pilot basis by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24th April. The scheme aims to provide land ownership rights to people in rural areas.
Under the scheme, 10 districts of the state have been selected as pilot projects in the first year. The survey of the remaining 42 districts will be conducted in the second and third years.10, 553 revenue villages of these 10 districts have been included in the first phase in this survey.
Key Points:
i.The officials are requested to make a short term plan to provide immediate employment for the skilled migrant workers.
ii.Shram Siddhi Abhiyan was launched to support the unskilled labourers to find employment.
iii.The government proposes to develop a two-way portal to collect data from the workers in one and for the employers to provide job on the other and use the Rozgar Setu as an intermediate for the two portals.
