China’s Chen Long and World No.1 and 2015 All England and World champion Carolina Marin bestowed with the BWF Player of the Year award from BWF President Poul-Erik Hoyer in Dubai.

  • The BWF Player of the Year awards were given at the Player’s Reception and Gala Dinner, held in honour of the assembled players, sponsors, officials and other guests to the Dubai Superseries Finals.

  • Korea’s Lee Sam Seop was named Male Para-Badminton Player of the Year.

1993 born Carolina Maria Marin Martin is a badminton player from Spain who is currently ranked No. 1 in the world by Badminton World Federation Women’s Singles 2015. She became world champion in women’s singles in 2014 and 2015.
