Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh announced 33% reservation to women in all para-military forces. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will also recruit women under 33% reservations.
“In all para-military forces, women will be recruited by providing 33% reservations,” Mr.Rajnath Singh said at National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) Hyderabad, a premier training centre of the CISF.
Currently the participation of Women in all forces remained at only 5.04%. The reservation would improve the strength of all Para –Military forces from 1.36 lakh to an estimated two lakh. The reservation will increase the number of women personnel upto one third of the overall strength of all para military forces.
CISF Director Surendar Singh Said, he wanted the officers to be geared up and ever ready to combat different types of Challenges. He said there were constant efforts to make National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) a world-class training provider.
