Cabinet approved MoC between India and Japan in the field of Environmental Cooperation
On December 6, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between India and Japan.
- The MoC focuses on long-term cooperation between India and Japan in the field of environment protection and management of natural resources.
- The MoC was signed on 29th October 2018 during the visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to Japan.
- The MoC is expected to bring in the latest technologies and best practices suited for bringing about better environment protection, better conservation, better management of climate change and bio-diversity conservation.
Cabinet approved MoC between India and Japan for Cooperation in the Postal field
On December 6, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between India and Japan.
- The MoC focuses on cooperation in the Postal field.
- The MoC seeks to improve postal services and cooperation in the postal field between the two countries.
Cabinet approved Memorandum of Cooperation between India and Japan in the field of Healthcare and Wellness
On December 6, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between India and Japan.
i. The MoC focused on cooperation in the field of Healthcare and Wellness.
ii. Under this MoC, the following would be undertaken:
- Developing human resource in the field of acute medicine, surgery and trauma care including focus on new areas,
- Establishing a Japanese language education centre for trainee candidates of care workers,
- Promoting institutional collaboration on patient data analysis and Information and Communication Technology & Artificial Intelligence in medicine,
- India-Japan Innovation Hub in India,
- Establishing manufacturing units in India under “Make in India”.
iii. It was signed on 29th October, 2018.

Cabinet approved revised Model MoU between India and foreign Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) for exchange of information
On December 6, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) – India (FIU-Ind) with its counterpart foreign Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) for exchange of information.

- The MoU focuses on Scientific and Technical Cooperation in the Earth Sciences.
- The MoU was signed on 1st November 2018.

- The MoU is a Science and Technology agreement that focuses on cooperation in the field of energy efficiency / energy conservation and development of sustainable mobility with specific focus on electric transport.
- The MoU was signed on 17th October 2018.

Cabinet approved MoU between India and Tajikistan on Cooperation on Peaceful uses of Space Technology for Development
On December 6, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Tajikistan.
- The MoU focuses on Cooperation on Peaceful uses of Space Technology for Development.
- Under this, a Joint Working Group, drawing members from DOS/ISRO and the State Committee of Land Management and Geodesy of Republic of Tajikistan to explore newer research activities and application possibilities in the field of remote sensing of the earth, satellite navigation, space science and exploration of outer space.
- It was signed on 8th October 2018 at Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

Cabinet approved MoU between India and Russia on Joint Activities under Human Spaceflight Programme
On December 6, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Russia.
- The MoU focuses on Joint Activities under Human Spaceflight Programme.
- This will provide:Radiation shielding, life support systems, crew module, rendezvous and docking systems, space suit, training for astronauts etc.
- It was signed on 15th October 2015 at New Delhi.

- The Agreement focuses on cooperation in the exploration and uses of outer space for peaceful purposes.
- It was signed on 1st October 2018 at New Delhi during the State visit of the President of Uzbekistan to India.

Cabinet approved MoU between India and Morocco for Cooperation in the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space
On December 6, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Morocco.
- The MoU focuses on Cooperation in the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
- Under this MoU, a Joint Working Group, comprising of members from DOS/ISRO and Royal Centre for Remote Sensing (CRTS) and the Royal Centre for Space Research and Studies (CRERS), Uzbekistan, would be established.
- It was signed at New Delhi on 25th September 2018.
Morocco:

Cabinet approved Agreement between India and Algeria on Cooperation in the field of Space Sciences, Technologies and Applications
On December 6, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved Agreement between India and Algeria.
- The agreement focuses on Cooperation in the field of Space Sciences, Technologies and Applications.
- Under this agreement, a Joint Working Group, drawing members from DOS/ISRQ, and the Algerian Space Agency (ASAL),Algeria, would be established.
- It was signed at Bengaluru on 19th September 2018.

Cabinet approved MoU between India and Armenia on joint issue of postage stamp
On December 6, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) signed between India and Armenia.
i. The MoU focuses on joint issue of postage stamp.
ii. It was signed in June, 2018 between:
Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications and the National Postal Operator of Armenia (“HayPost” CJSC).
iii. The Theme of the joint postage stamps on India-Armenia was: “Dence”.The Joint stamps were released in August, 2018.
iv. The Commemorative Postage Stamps depict “Manipuri Dance” of India and “HovArek Dance” of Armenia.
