The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs(CCEA) chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the following pact with the foreign countries. The approval are as follows,Cabinet approved pact with Germany on Railways:
The CCEA has approved the Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) between India and Germany for cooperation on strategic projects in the field of Railways. The JDI in this regard was signed in November 2019 by the Indian Ministry of Railways(MoR) and Federal Ministry for economic affairs and energy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Key Points:
i.The JDI will be a platform for latest developments and gaining knowledge in the field of railways. Various meetings, seminars, technical visits and implementation of jointly agreed cooperation projects will be part of the JDI.
Cabinet approved MoU between Election Commission of India and Election Commission of Maldives for electoral management:
The CCEA has approved Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Election Commission of Maldives(ECM) for cooperation in the field of electoral management and administration.
Key Points:
i.The MoU includes exchange of knowledge and experience in electoral management process, support in exchanging information, training of personnel, capacity building etc thus promoting bilateral cooperation.
