Cabinet approves MoU between India and Lebanon for cooperation in the field of agriculture and allied sectors
On October 10, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Lebanon.
- The MOU is regarding cooperation in the field of agriculture and allied sectors.
- The MoU will help to increase agriculture production and productivity and strengthening of food security.
Lebanon:

Cabinet approves Memorandum of Understanding between India and Romania in the field of tourism
On October 10, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved Memorandum of Understanding signed between India and Romania.
i. It is regarding cooperation in the field of tourism.
ii. The MoU was signed in September, 2018 during the visit of the Vice-President of India to Romania.
iii. Following are under the MOU agreement:
- To exchange information and data related to tourism,
- Investment in the Tourism and Hospitality sectors,
- To exchange visitsof Tour Operators / Media /Opinion Makers for 2-way tourism,
- To exchange experiences in the areas of promotion, marketing, destination development and management,
Romania:

♦Â Currency: Romanian leu.
Cabinet approves Memorandum of Cooperation between India and Finland on Environmental Cooperation
On October 10, 2018, the Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved Memorandum of Cooperation between India and Finland.
i. This is regarding Environmental Cooperation and management of natural resources on the basis of equity, reciprocity and mutual benefits between the 2 countries.
ii. This MOU consists of cooperation in:
- Air and water pollution prevention and purification, remediation of contaminated soils,
- Waste managementand waste-to-energy technologies,
- Promotion of circular economy, low-carbon solutions and sustainable management of natural resources including forests,
- Climate change,
- Data Management,
- Conservation of Marine and Coastal Resources,
- Integrated water management of Oceanic/Sea Islands,
- Environmental and Forest monitoring.
iii. This will help in better environment protection, better conservation, and better management of climate change and wildlife protection/conservation.
Finland:

♦Â Currency: Euro.
