Hello Guys,
I have been on this platform as an “Ambitious Bird” and today I am writing my success story. I hope it will give u strength to crack the bigger exams than mine.
Qualification: ICWA Intermediate
Be Eligible, Not The Beggar For The Job and Take The Credit of Your Own Hard work
I took almost 3 years to crack this PO exam. I stared for bank exams in 2014. But I did not join any class at that time. At that time there was a streak of exams of almost all Insurance companies like NIACL, NICL, LIC, GIC, UIICL, Oriental Insurance in the capacity of Assistant and AO/AAO.
But as I was a beginner I could crack none. In that year only I appeared for almost 6-8 exams each of Rs.600. It was really very difficult for me to pay Rs 600 then to appear for the exam as my father’s income is not that high. Till 2016 I almost paid Rs.10,000 as a form fee.
I realized to work part time somewhere but all went in vain as there were the exams at the time interval of 1-2 months and I wanted to crack any of them anyhow. But I achieved nothing in that year even after my hard work.
Then I realized to give concrete efforts after joining for a coaching class. So I first joined Mahendra’s. But I was dissatisfied with the Quants section there so I again paid full fees in Career Power and again studied full syllabus. Another year passed in all these stuffs. I gave my days and nights but I carried on. Again failed again started again failed again started. Then the time came when my success was just 2-3 marks away from last selected candidate in General category. Hard lucks were existed at that time.
- I missed IBPS PO 2015 by 5 marks
- I missed SBI Clerk by 1.25 marks,
- Missed RRB PO by 0.8 marks
Difference was being diluting with my increased efforts.
This things hurted me a lot. Bcz at that time the news was in the lime light that next year recruitment of IBPS PO may not come. Then I felt like the it’s the time to be an “Insane Bull” to study without seeing at wall clock. And I implemented on my thoughts. I reduced my sleeping hours before one month of IBPS PO exams. I even abstained from my favourite festivals like Navratri, Diwali, New year parties, Uttarayan and like. I started to wake up at 4 in d morning. Tried my level best.
Ultimately the most awaited exam came- IBPS PO Pre.
I attempted 75. Got 62. (And before this pre exam I had give almost 60 speed tests as I didn’t want to take any chance this time)
Now it was time to appear for the mains. Finally the day came. But the paper was the worst of my life.
I attempted just 93 with the best accuracy and got 71.75.
As I am a final year student of Cost Accounting (ICWA) even my interview was the most technical based on my audit experience. I had not thought that it would be such a difficult interview this time. But I did not show them that I m frustrated. I remained calm and answered what came across as per my knowledge.
I thought I would earn just 60-65 and this time too I will miss PO. But I was surprised on 1st April knowing that I got 78 in interview. And final score was 44.30.
My Mom cried like a kid. My dad was waiting for my result call in BOB(Serving). I went to my papa’s branch, surprised him and distributed sweets in BOB Branch.
This year I cracked…..
- Bank of Maharashtra (Clerk)
- Baroda Gujarat Gramin Bank (Clerk)
- Punjab National Bank (Clerk)
- Bank of India (PO)
This was my long and monotonous but full of struggle story. I know many here are cleverer than I am and u all can take less time than mine to crack any exam.
I wish u all bright career ahead. I m gonna miss AffairsCloud site and people I came across here.:))
All the Best !!!!!
