Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi Resigns

The Chief Minister of Bihar Jitan Ram Manjhi resigned on February 20 ahead of a crucial trust vote to be held in the assembly. Today he met the governor of Bhiar, KN Tripathi and submitted his resignation one hour prior the beginning of assembly proceedings.

About Jitan Ram Manjhi

• Jitan Ram Manjhi was 23rd CM of Bihar, elected in May 2014 by the Janata Dal (United) Party legislators and Manjhi, minister for SC and ST welfare in Nitish’s cabinet,
•  He was the third Dalit CM of Bihar after Bhola Paswan Shastri and Ram Sundar Das.
