Mr. R.K.Gupta, Executive Director, Bank of Maharashtra, a Leading Public Sector Bank today launched Soil and Water Health Card for farmers through Mahabank Agriculture Research & Rural Development Foundation (MARDEF). This is to supplement the efforts of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India for focusing attention on the health of soil in agricultural areas to boost productivity and bring increased prosperity.

Launch of Soil & Water Health Card in Mumbai

Mr. R.K.Gupta, Executive Director, Bank of Maharashtra, a Leading Public Sector Bank launched Soil and Water Health Card for farmers in Mumbai through Mahabank Agriculture Research & Rural Development Foundation (MARDEF).

This is to supplement the efforts of Narendra Modi for focusing attention on the health of soil in agricultural areas to boost productivity.

BOM is the only bank providing such facility in the country and has already disbursed 500 cards in Bhigwan, Pune.

The bank along with Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers is analysing soil samples at its Soil Testing Lab in Bhigwan.  Annually more than 10,000 samples are tested.

Launch of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) in Delhi Zone

Bank of Maharashtra also launched Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) in Delhi Zone as a part of financial inclusion programme.

Features

–        To fund Micro small enterprises engaged in all non-farm sector income generating activities such as manufacturing, trading and services.
–        To fund whose credit needs are up to Rs. 10.00 lakh.
–        Bank is offering Mudra Loans at competitive rates @ 10 % p.a.
–        No processing charges are levied up to Rs.5.00 lakh.
