Hello aspirants,
My name is Tushar Bhivgade. I am 2014 BE graduate in Computer Science. I will start my story in Hindi.
Bachpan me kbhi socha bhi nhi tha ki mai PO banunga. After Engineering, Campus through selection to hua nhi because Aptitude weak tha. I tried in IT companies but was not satisfied. Meanwhile My sister got selected in SBI so she motivated me to opt for bank exam, And during 2016 started to preparing for Bank exam.
RBI Grade B 2016 was my first exam. I cleared Pre but failed to crack mains. Then IBPS PO 2016 , failed to clear pre by 0.10.
RBI Assistant 2016 ,Cleared Pre. But I failed to crack mains by 5 marks. This failure result of RBI had taught me much more. This time I come to know my capability that I can clear bank exam.
Then appeared for RBI Grade B 2017. Cleared Pre but failed to crack mains. Then I appeared for BOB Manipal PO in May 2017. I hadn’t prepare much for BOB. Because SBI PO 2017 was my target. I attempted only 117 in BOB which was very minimum attempts because others have attempted till 145, Still I Cleared it by getting 107. Then worked hard for GD-PI. My GD topic was GST. And In this way I finally selected in BOB PO.
Subject wise Strategy
MATHS: Earlier my weakest topic in Quant was Word Problem (Time Work). But Gradually I started preparing for this by watching YouTube videos on world problems. I used to refer competition power magazine. But Do not neglect word problems because now a days DI / Case let DI are asked based on word problems. I also referred Grade stack Quant Quizzes, affairs cloud Quant section and it helps me a lot.
REASONING: One of My Strong section. I used to solve reasoning from Grade stack, affairs cloud (Puzzle level is moderate). Practiced from Competition Power magazine (Level of question is tough). If any question was not solved then i used to stick to it until and unless it was solved.
 ENGLISH: I prepared English by reading The Hindu, Business Standard, Economic Times newspapers. I used to read Editorial and Business page for synonyms, phrasal words. For English, daily reading of newspaper makes me able to improve the reading ability.
Todays English level is so high but remember one thing new pattern of English has base of old pattern. So prepare Grammar well.
GENERAL AWARENESS: One of my strong and scoring section. This section is Game Changer for me. Every morning i used to learn GA from daily GA Quizzes of affairs cloud, Bankers adda. I also referred Oliveboard GK Supplement Package. And one thing, Please start writing Daily Quizzes. Don’t just read. Because Whatever we write it fits in brain than reading. Please give more time to this section, it will help u beat the competition.
TEST SERIES: I strongly recommend Oliveboard Mock Tests to all the Banking aspirants. Trust me guys, level of questions in both Mock Tests are very difficult. They make this because we should not panic during actual exam. Giving example, I had never scored more than 36 in SBI PO PRE 2017 Mock test of Olive board. And I focus on Accuracy not on Attempts.
