On 16th February 2021, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister(CM) of Andhra Pradesh(AP) received the SKOCH Challenger Award – Chief Minister of the Year Award. The award of the SKOCH Group was presented to him by Sameer Kochhar, Chairman of SKOCH Group at the Camp office of CM at Tadepalli, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
- The SKOCH CM of the year Award was given to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy based on the year long study on the government project- level outcomes┬аacross different states of India.
- The efforts of the government of AP to make efficient and transparent governance was evident in the study of 123 projects from various sectors in Andhra Pradesh.
AP Projects:
i.The government of AP has taken up various initiatives to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
ii.YSR Rythu Bharosa Kendra, a model for village procurement at pre announced minimum support price which has resulted in a good outcome for the farmers.
iii.YSR Cheyutha scheme of AP focuses on providing economic empowerment to middle aged women through livelihood linked loans for more than 4 year, which is also an example of financial inclusion with outcomes.
iv.The schemes like Disha and Abhay of AP ensures to enhance the safety and security of women. These schemes have made a difference in law and have also encouraged women to go out and participate without fear.
