The Theme of the WAAD 2015 was Employment. It is estimated that 80% of the adults with autism are unemployed. Autism is a condition where a person faces Neurodevelopmental disorders. The characteristics of this illness are Communication difficulties, social difficulties, stereotyped or repetitive behaviors and interests. sensory issues and in some cases, cognitive delays.
A cause for Autism disorders is yet to be found. Researchers suggest that though people affected by Autism have neurodevelopmental disorders, they have heightened abilities in pattern recognition and logical reasoning, as well as a greater attention to detail. A lot of care and aid is given to those affected by Autism through the UN, so that they can lead meaningful lives as normal human beings.
