American Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders won the TIME 100 reader poll with 3 percent of the vote, ahead of Hilary Clinton who was 25th with 1 per cent of the vote.TIME’s editors ultimately choose the TIME 100, which will be announced on April 21.
- Bernie had finished with 3.3% of the total votes on the poll, edging out the South Korean boy band Big Bang’s 2.9%, Burmese leader Aung San SuuKyi’s 2.2%, and President Obama’s 2%.

Indian Influence in the Top 100:
- PM Narendra Modi, Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra and Tennis great Sania Mirza and are also among the probable contenders named by the magazine for its annual list.
- In the poll, PM has got 0.7 per cent of the yes votes while Mirza got 0.5 per cent and Chopra 0.8 per cent.
- However India-born Search giant Google CEO Sundar Pichai got 0.8 per cent votes while Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella got 0.6 per cent votes.
