Patna Pirates win their first Pro Kabaddi title

In the Third season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi league Patna Pirates beat U Mumba by three points to take home the trophy.

• Patna Pirates captained by Manpreet Singh dominant U Mumba to emerge as Champions of Pro Kabaddi League in the title clash held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.

The Patna Pirates:

• The Score closed at 31-28 in favour of Patna Pirates after a thrilling 40 minute play of perhaps the best Kabaddi season.
• Anupstarted with a bonus with his first raid to give Mumbai a positive start but Patna Pirates were simply irresistible thereafter as they inflicted an all-out over their rivals in the seventh minute to lead 10-2
• Rohit Kumar of Patna Pirates was awarded Best Raider and MohitChillar of U Mumba the Best Defender of the Match and RishankDevadiga of U Mumba finished a dream season as the most successful raider with 106 points.

Pro Kabaddi League:

• The Pro Kabaddi League inaugurated in 2014 consist of eight teams won by Jaipur Pink Panthers, in the next season U Mumba crowned as the winner.
• It is known as the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi for sponsorship reasons.
• The tournament played by 8 teams at various venues.
• The third edition was flagged off on 30 January ended on 6 th March and currently managed by Mashal Sports.
