In Ahmedabad:
Overview: On August 25, 2025, PM Narendra Modi visited Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to inaugurate, lay the foundation stone, and dedicate multiple development projects.
- The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister (CM) of Gujarat; Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Gujarat; and C. R. Patil, Union Minister of Jal Shakti (MoJS).
Railways: PM Narendra Modi dedicated multiple railway projects worth over Rs.1,400 crore to the nation. It includes doubling of the 65 kilometre (km) Mehsana – Palanpur Rail Line worth Rs.530 crores.
- It also includes Gauge conversion on the 37 km Kalol-Kadi-Katosan line worth Rs.347 Crores and 40 Km Bechraji-Ranuj line worth Rs.520 crores, totaling around Rs.860 crores.
- He flagged a passenger train between Katosan road and Sabarmati, and a car-loaded freight train service from Bechraji to enhance connectivity, strengthen logistics network and generate employment opportunities.
Roadways: He inaugurated widening of the Viramgam-Khudad-Rampura Road, six-lane vehicle underpasses on Ahmedabad-Mehsana-Palanpur corridor, Railway overbridge on the Ahmedabad-Viramgam stretch, with an aim to boost industrial growth, improve transport efficiency, and economic opportunities in the region.
- He laid the foundation stones for widening the Sardar Patel Ring Road in Ahmedabad and key urban infrastructure projects to strengthen water and sewage management systems.
Power: Inaugurated power distribution projects worth Rs.1,000 crores in Ahmedabad, Mehsana and Gandhinagar under Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited (UGVCL), with an aim to reduce transmission losses, modernize the network, and strengthen infrastructure under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
Other Projects: Inaugurated Development of Slums at Ramapir No Tekro under In Situ Slum Rehabilitation Component of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U).

Overview: On August 26, 2025, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated green mobility initiatives in Hansalpur, Gujarat.
e VITARA: He inaugurated and flagged off the “e VITARA”, the first Made-in-India global Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) of Maruti Suzuki (Suzuki), at the Suzuki Motor plant in Hansalpur, Ahmedabad (Gujarat), which is set to be exported to over 100 countries, including advanced markets such as Europe and Japan.
- Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan has unveiled plans to invest USD 8 billion (around Rs.70,000 crore) in India over the next five to six years.
Hybrid Battery Manufacturing Boost: He also inaugurated the localized production of hybrid battery electrodes at the TDS Lithium-Ion Battery Plant, a Joint Venture (JV) of Toshiba, Denso, and Suzuki (TDS), in Hansalpur, Gujarat, aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing and advancing clean energy innovation. The initiative will ensure that 80% of the battery value is manufactured within India.
