TCS, HDFC, Airtel and Infosys ranked among the world’s top 100 most valuable brands in the Kantar BrandZ 2025 Report

According to the Kantar BrandZ, “2025 World’s Most Valuable Global Brands  report, 4 Indian companies namely, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, Airtel and Infosys were featured among the top 100 most valuable brands.  

  • Apple retains its top position for the 4th year with a brand value of USD 1.3 trillion, followed by Google with a valuation of USD 944 billion and Microsoft with a valuation of USD 884 billion at 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
  • Overall, the Global Top 100 has reached a record total brand value of USD 10.7 trillion, a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 29%.

Note: The 2025 report marks the 20th anniversary edition of BrandZ’s world most valuable brands.

Key Highlights:

i.The report is based on is based on the opinions of 4.5 million respondents about 22,000 brands across 538 categories. Across 13 category rankings, retail continued its post-pandemic surge, with overall brand value growth up 48%.

ii.The report highlights Nvidia, Huawei, VMware, Xiaomi, and Instagram as the leading risers, all achieving brand value growth exceeding 100%.

iii.ChatGPT ranks as the highest new entrant in the Top 100 list, followed by Stripe and Chipotle.

iv.Outside the US, Sweden’s Spotify has made a comeback to the Top 100, and Argentinian retailer Mercado Libre continues to be the only Latin American brand represented in the Top 100.

v.The only trillion-dollar brand in the ranking, Apple represents more than 12% of the total value of the Global Top 100.

India-Specific:

i.TCS emerged as India’s most valuable brand in the Kantar Brandz 2025 report by securing 45th position with a brand valuation of USD 57 billion and YoY growth of 28%.

  • Compared to the previous year’s rank, 46th in 2024, TCS has improved by 1 place this year.

ii.HDFC rank deteriorated from 47th position in 2024, to 56th position in the latest brand report.

iii.Airtel secured 66th position with a brand valuation of USD 37 billion. It has improved its position by 7 places compared to previous year (73rd rank). India’s Airtel is the fastest growing telecom brand in the world.

iv.Infosys secured 73rd rank (74th in 2024) with a valuation of USD 33 billion.

V.The combined brand value of all Indian brands on the top 100 list is more than USD 170 billion.
