    On 20th September 2024, Union Minister Giriraj Singh, Ministry of Textile, unveiled the Commemorative coin of the denomination Rs 75 during an event organised to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee (75th Anniversary) of the Central Silk Board (CBS) in Mysuru, Karnataka.
     The Union Minister also launched a Coffee Table Book titled CSB in the Service of the Nation Since 1949 and a postal cover featuring the CSB 75 Years Logo.
     The Government of Independent India enacted the CSB Act 1948 on 20th September 1948.
     The coin made of Quaternary alloy (50% silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel and 5% Zinc) weighs 35 grams and has a diameter of 44 millimetres (mm).
     Four new technologies, namely Nirmool, Seri-win, Mr. Pro, and a trapping machine were unveiled during the event.
     During the event, the CBS exchanged Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with institutions like the Indian Council of Agricultural Research- Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR-CIFRI) in Barrackpore, West Bengal (WB); Jain University in Bengaluru, and Assam Agricultural University (AAU) in Jorhat (Assam) to strengthen cooperative efforts in sericulture research and training.
     The official website of Silk Mark Organization of India (SMOI) was also launched during the event.
     The Ministry of Textiles (MoT) has notified the Medical Textiles (Quality Control) Order, 2023 which is set to take effect on 1st October 2024.

      The campaign was launched to tackle global warming by promoting large-scale tree planting, to protect the environment and nature.
