    • Other than IGIA, Mumbai’s (Maharashtra) Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) is also featured among the top 50 Megahubs airports globally. However, it saw a significant drop in its ranking from 34th position (in 2023) to 44th position (in 2024).
    • UK-based London Heathrow Airport (LHR) has once again secured the 1st spot in the latest rankings, followed by Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) in Malaysia and Tokyo-Haneda International Airport (HND) in Japan, secured 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
    • This is the 10th edition of OAG Megahubs report, which ranks the connectivity of the world’s leading international airport hubs both global and regional wise.
    • The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) topped in the Low-Cost Carrier (LCC) megahub category with 14,583 Low-Cost Connections across 137 destinations.
    • London Heathrow Airport(LHR) has once again been recognized as the world’s most internationally connected airport.
    • As per OAG data, IndiGo emerged as the dominant carrier for both Delhi Airport and Mumbai Airport. Indigo operates 39% and 41% of flights at Delhi Airport and Mumbai Airport, respectively.
