    The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has approved the introduction of ‘BPaLM’ a new treatment for Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) under the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) in India.
    i.The BPaLM regimen consists of four drugs namely Bedaquiline, Pretomanid, Linezolid and Moxifloxacin, which are more safe, effective and quicker treatment option than the previous Multi-Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) treatment procedure.
    ii.The National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), previously known as Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP), aims to eliminate TB in India by 2025, five years ahead of the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).

     These ships are designed to undertake anti-submarine operations in coastal waters, Low-Intensity Maritime Operations (LIMO), and mine-laying operations, including subsurface surveillance.

     Latvian Jelena Ostapenko and Ukraine’s Lyudmyla Kichenok won the women’s doubles title at the US Open 2024 with a victory over Chinese-French pairing Zhang Shaui and Kristina Mladenovic.
     The Italian pair of Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori secured the mixed doubles title at the US Open after defeating the American duo of Taylor Townsend and Donald Young in the finals.
     The total prize money of US Open 2024 was pegged at USD 75 million. The men’s and women’s singles champions will earn USD 3.6 million each.
