V.Srinivas, Secretary of DoPPW Conferred Anubhav Awards & Jury Certificates

On 28th August 2024, V. Srinivas, Secretary, Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (MoPPG&P) conferred the 5 Anubhav Awards and 10 Jury Certificates to the personnel from 9 different ministries in 7th Anubhav Awards ceremony held in the Plenary Hall of Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi(Delhi).

  • During the ceremony, a citation booklet featuring the achievement of the Awardees and short movie showcasing their hard work were released.

Background:

i.DoPPW launched an online platform “Anubhav” in March 2015, on the directions of the Prime Minister of India.

  • The online platform provides a means for retiring and retired government employees to share their valuable experiences and suggestions during their service period.

ii.Anubhav Jury Certificates were awarded for the 1st time in 2023. So far, 54 Anubhav awards and 9 Jury Certificates have been given.

Anubhav Awards 2024:

i.Anubhav awardees and Jury certificates winners  for the year 2024, have submitted their write-ups under the following categories such as: Admin Work, Good Governance, Research, Simplification of Procedures, Accounts, Contribution to his or her field work and constructive feedback or suggestion to improve the line of work.

ii.Out of 15 awardees, 5 (33%) are women, which is the highest ever in the history of ‘Anubhav’ awards since its inception in 2015. This shows their increasing role and contribution in the Governance.

iii.The winners of Anubhav awards received a medal, certificate and an incentive of Rs 10,000.

  • While, winners of Anubhav Jury Certificate received a medal and certificate.

55th Pre-Retirement Counselling Workshop:

On 28th August 2024, DoPPW organised the 55th Pre-Retirement Counselling (PRC) Workshop for the benefit of Central Government employees, who are set to retire on 31st March 2025, was held in the Plenary Hall of Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi (Delhi).

  • The PRC Workshop has benefitted over 750 retirees, who are going to retire upto 31st March 2025.

Key Points:

i.During the 55th PRC Workshop, various sessions on BHAVISHYA portal, Integrated Pensioners portal, Retirement benefits, family pension, Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) process, among others, were conducted to provide information about the benefits that they will receive post-retirement.

ii.On the sidelines of 55th PRC Workshop, a ”‘Banks’ Exhibition” was organised, wherein all 18 Pension Disbursing Banks actively participated.

  • Also, banks guided the retirees on opening of pension account and investment of pension corpus in different schemes suitable to them.

Note : The Integrated pensioners’ portal was launched on 18th October, 2022 in collaboration with State Bank of India (SBI).

11th All-India Pension Adalat:

V.Srinivas, Secretary (Pensions), presided over the 11th All-India Pension Adalat, which was organised by DoPPW at New Delhi, Delhi on 28th August 2024.

  • During the Pension Adalat, 298 cases were discussed and 245 cases were successfully resolved on the spot with a success rate of over 82%.
