The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare(MoHFW) launched the ‘U-WIN’, an online vaccine management portal to captures every vaccination record of all pregnant women and children up to 6 years under the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP).
Aim: To maintain an electronic registry of routine immunisations.
This portal designed to digitises the UIP which is a part of the Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Program under the National Health Mission (NHM), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoH&FW).
U-WIN will also be linked to the government’s existing eVIN platform for inventory management.
The portal covers 12 Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (VPDs) under the UIP. They are:
