i.Inauguration of 16 Atal Awasiya Vidyalayas: The Prime Minister inaugurated 16 Atal Awasiya Vidyalayas(Residential Schools), built at a cost of approximately Rs 1115 crores, across Uttar Pradesh.
- These schools aim to provide quality education to children of laborers, construction workers, and orphans affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially to children from weaker sections of society.
- Each school boasts modern facilities, classrooms, sports grounds, recreational areas, auditoriums, hostels, and residential staff flats, with a capacity for up to 1,000 students in each school.
- Rolled out by the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (UPBOCW), Department of Labour.
ii.Launch of Kashi Sansad Khel Pratiyogita Portal: Shri Modi launched the portal for the registration of Kashi Sansad Khel Pratiyogita, promoting sports and competitions in the region.
iii.He proposed strengthening the system of quality tourist guides in Kashi to promote the city, including organizing a Kashi Sansad Tourist Guide competition.

About Vande Bharat Express (previously known as Train 18):
i.On 15 February 2019, the first Vande Bharat Express between New Delhi and Varanasi was flagged off at the New Delhi railway station by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
ii.There are currently 25 Vande Bharat trains in operation, and an additional 9 have been introduced, bringing the total to 34.

Kerala gets first Orange Vande Bharat Express on Kasaragod -Thiruvananthapuram route
The newly introduced Orange Vande Bharat Express in Kerala, inspired by the saffron color of the national flag, will operate on the Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram route via Alappuzha. The total count of Vande Bharat services will reach 68, featuring smaller 8-coach versions with 25 improvements over their predecessors.
Orange Vande Bharat: Vande Bharat Express trains have been given a new look with a combination of orange, grey, and white color in the front instead of the previous white-blue color scheme.
PM Narendra Modi lays foundation stone of international cricket stadium
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of an international cricket stadium in Varanasi.
Stadium Details:
i.The international cricket stadium in Varanasi will have a capacity of 30,000 spectators.
ii.It is being developed in Ganjari, Rajatalab, Varanasi, at a cost of about Rs 450 crores (The Uttar Pradesh government spent ₹121 crores to acquire the land for the stadium, while the Board of Control for Cricket in India [BCCI] will spend ₹330 crores on its construction.).
iii.The thematic architecture draws inspiration from Lord Shiva.
iv.The stadium will be equipped with crescent-shaped roof covers, trident-shaped lights, ghat steps-based seating, and Bilvipatra-shaped metallic sheets on the facade.
v.It is expected to be ready by December 2025.
vi.The spectators’ gallery will resemble the steps of the ghats of Varanasi.
vii.This will be Uttar Pradesh’s third international cricket stadium.
