All of you must be prepared by now for IBPS CLERK PRELIMS EXAM for which only few days are left. This is the first step towards your goal to be a Clerk in any one of the banks as listed by IBPS. Before the Exam many of the students divide time for different sections. But along with time division for each section, you should also decide the minimum number of questions from each section which you need to answer to clear the cut-offs
The detail of the Prelims Exam is as below:
Section | No. of Questions | Max. Marks | Time Duration |
English | 30 | 30 | 1 Hour |
Quants | 35 | 35 | |
Reasoning | 35 | 35 | |
Total | 100 | 100 |
We can expect the same pattern as it was in IBPS PO PRELIMS EXAM but it is not sure because CLERKS PRELIMS is going to happen for the first time.
So here are some tips to get IN for CLERK MAINS EXAM:
As u all know that the PRELIMS EXAM marks are not to be counted in the final marks, so you just have to clear the cut-off and you have made it to Mains. So all of you should make a strategy for writing the Exam.
People who are not that good in English can answer 10-15 questions in this section for which you are very much sure about and move on to next section. Your 10-15 accurate attempts will clear the cut-off in English. Near about 10 minutes can be given.
In Reasoning Section, do the Syllogism, Inequalities, Blood Relations n Direction sense questions (if any), coding decoding, 1 puzzle that looks easy. It is expected that the puzzle with seating arrangement in two rows will be the easy one. This will give you minimum 20-25 questions. Near about 20 minutes can be given.
In Quant Section – approximations, quadratic equations, series (3 out of 5 are generally easy ones), 1 DI (choose easy one which is easy to understand and does not have much calculations), individual questions (choose the topics which are easy for you) . Leave the rest questions. This will give you minimum 18-20 questions. Near about 30 minutes can be given.
If time is left, move on to solve more questions or check your attempted questions.
So now in all you have attempted 50-60 questions. And this is just enough to clear the Prelims Exam
And yes last but not the least, I always urge on accuracy rather than speed. Do remember that.
This is just an example. Make your own strategy to reach your own goal. Use the strategy in Mock Tests and then apply in the Exam.
Do not forget to take the Admit Card with photograph affixed, Photo Identity Proof in original and a photo-copy of it (Ration Card and E-Aadhar Card are not accepted). Your name in ID Proof must exactly match with the one you have in your Admit Card.
All the best from AffairsCloud team :)
