According to Kantar India’s annual Brand Footprint report 2022 (10th Edition), Parle Products Limited(Parle), Indian multinational food processing company, topped the ranking of most chosen Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) brands in India in 2021.
- With a CRP score of 6531 (million), Parle has topped the list for the 10th year in a row.
The report ranks the most chosen FMCG brands based on the Consumer Reach Points(CRPs).
Note:
CRP is measured based on the actual purchase of the brand by consumers and the frequency of these purchases are made in a calendar year.

Key Points:
i.Parle reported a 14% growth in CRP compared to the previous year’s rankings.
ii.CRP of Amul grew 9% while that of Britannia increased 14% in the current rankings compared to the year-ago period.
iii.Haldiram’s has joined the billion CRP club and entered the top 25 ranking at number 24. Anmol (biscuits and cake brand) also joined the CRP club.
iv.The number of brands reporting growth in CRP improved in 2021 over 2020.
v.The overall CRPs have increased from 89 billion to 98 billion, with the growth rate increasing from 3% in 2020 to 9% in 2021.
vi.This growth in CRPs is driven by food, health and beauty and beverages categories.

i.The number of brands growing in terms of CRP has improved in 2021 (70%), over 2020 (56%).
ii.According to the report, big brands with more than 61% penetration levels grew faster in 2021, 8% over 2020.
