After visiting Jordan and Palestine, President Pranab Mukherjee was in Jewish State Israel for enhancing cooperation between India and Israel in agriculture, defence and technology.
- With this visit he became the first Indian President to visit Israel.

- He expressed gratitude towards Israel for backing India in the United Nation Security Council (UNSC) for a permanent seat

Hebrew University conferred Honorary Doctorate to Shri Pranab Mukherjee at an event held in Jerusalem, Israel.
- He invited Israeli scientists and researchers to participate in the transformation of India
Both nations are cooperating in the import export of precious stones, metals, machinery, minerals, plastics, chemical products, textiles, agricultural products, and transport equipment and trade grew from $200 million in 1992 to $4.39 billion in 2013.
