The Women & Child Development Department of Madhya Pradesh has rolled out the ‘Launch Pad Scheme’ under which new opportunities of employment will be provided for Boys/Girls who have come out of institutional supervision of the care institutions of the state and have completed 18 years to make them self-reliant.
i.As part of the scheme, District Administration will provide space for these youth to open coffee shops, stationery, photocopy, computer typing and DTP work.
ii.The scheme has been launched under the Child Protection Scheme.
Objective:
To provide a platform to the youth, through which they can become self-reliant by continuing their education & training.
Key Points:
i.The launch pads will be operated through Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and an amount of INR 6 lakh will be provided for installation of each Launch Pad.
ii.For implementation of the scheme, 52 districts of the state have been divided into 5 clusters. The 5 divisional headquarters are Indore, Sagar, Gwalior, Jabalpur & Bhopal.
iii.The scheme has been approved by the Central Government & will be implemented in the Financial Year 2021-22.
