On October 1, 2020, the Chief Minister (CM) of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal launched an on-line pension submission and tracking system “Kritagyata” during a function held at Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati. Created on the lines of “Bhabhisya” portal of Government of India, Kritagyata is first portal of its kind among all the states in the country for the convenience of pensioners by expediting their pension-related claims.
- Through this portal, the retired state government employees can submit pension-related papers online and have the facility to check the status of pension.
- The portal has been launched as a pilot project for the teachers and employees under Inspector of Schools of Kamrup Metropolitan district, and will further be extended for state govt employees.
Cyber safety awareness campaign launched in Assam:
Assam Police celebrated its 70th foundation day, i.e. Assam Police Day on October 1, 2020. On this occasion Sarbananda Sonowal launched a month-long “CyberSafety” campaign to raise awareness on cyber crimes and safety. It will be jointly conducted by the Assam Police and cyber-security think tank Cyber Peace Foundation (CPF).
- The campaign will focus on major aspects of cyber safety through programmes on digital platforms, webinars, radio campaigns and activities targeted at people of various age groups, particularly school-going children.
- The programmes will be hosted on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
