On September 29, 2020 G20 Sherpa Meeting took place virtually under Saudi Arabia’s Presidency. The meeting discussed the actions taken by the forum for tackling the COVID-19 Pandemic. This is the 3rd edition of G20 Sherpa Meeting.
i.G20 Members, Invited Countries, International and Regional organizations participated in the meeting.
ii.Suresh Prabhu, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha represented India at the meeting. He is India’s Sherpa (Emissary) to G7 and G20.Â
iii.The G20 Sherpas have met already to address the COVID-19 Pandemic, more meetings will take place in preparation for the 2020 G20 Leaders’ Summit.
First-Ever Virtual G20 Leaders Summit:
The First-Ever Virtual G20 Leaders Summit will take place virtually from November 21 to 22, 2020. It will be chaired by Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
