SBI Cards Partners with Amex to Provide Differentiated Offers to Its Customers

SBI Cards & Payment Services Ltd (SBI Cards) partners with American Express Global Network Services (Amex) to provide global benefits and offer exclusive privileges to their premium consumer segments in India. 

Note:

With this partnership SBI Card will have products across four networks, to support their users from mass to premium.

Features:

i.This partnership will enable Amex to provide better service to its Indian Customers and expand its footprint in India.

ii.Differentiated and attractive products to meet the requirements of the Indian customers will be developed under this partnership.

iii.Under this partnership the high quality and sophisticated products of SBI Cards such as SBI Card ELITE and SBI Card PRIME will be made available on the global network of Amex.

iv.The cards on the Amex platform are contactless enabled and are protected by Safekey for online transactions.

Benefits of the Partnership:

The network benefits of Amex, like access to Elite tier membership, complimentary domestic lounge program, access to VIP upgrades and privileges at hotels, restaurants and retail outlets across the globe will be offered to the premium segment credit card holders of SBI Cards through the local and global network of Amex.

Key Points:

i.The joining fees of SBI Card ELITE and SBI Card PRIME on Amex is Rs.4999 and Rs.2999 respectively.

ii.Initially the cards have been launched in Delhi NCR and Mumbai, which will be later expanded to the other cities of India.

i.On February 20, 2020, SBI Cards & Payments Services Ltd has entered into the partnership with Landmark Group, one of the largest retail and hospitality organizations, to launch 3 new retail co-branded credit cards namely Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card, Max SBI Card and Spar SBI Card with 4 Landmark Group Brands Lifestyle, Home Centre, Max and Spar.

ii.On September 21, 2020 In order to enable customers to use their SBI Credit Cards to make card payments using Google Pay app on their Android smartphones, SBI Card has collaborated with Google.
