On October 28, 2019 The Financial Times(FT)- Masters in Management Rankings 2019 was released. Among the Indian B(business) schools, the Indian Institute of Management- Calcutta (IIMC) topped the list, 17th position overall. Other Indian institutes in the top 50 rankings were IIM-Ahmedabad ranked at 21st place and IIM Bangalore at 44th rank. The list was topped by University of St.Gallen in Switzerland.
Key Points:Â
i.Indian institutes at top 100 rankings: IIM-Udaipur at 76th rank and IIM-Indore at 81st rank.
ii.University of St. Gallen was followed by HEC (Hautes Études Commerciales) Paris, France and London Business School, United Kingdom(UK) in the second and third place respectively.
iii. The ranking of IIM-C has improved by 6 ranks from 23rd spot in 2018. This improvement was due to the betterment in the categories like salary, career progress ranking, involvement of international faculty, inclusion of international board members, percentage of female faculty and student gender diversity ratio etc. The institute got the ranking for its 2-Year Masters in Business Administration.
