Founders of Genrobotics figure in ‘Forbes 30 under 30 Asia’ list76 entries from India are featured among the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Class of 2023. The Indian winners includes Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra(25), Co-founders of Genrobotic Innovations(Kerala) Arun George(29); Vimal Govind MK(28); Rashid Karimbanakkal(28); Nikhil NP(29), and Elwinder Singh(29), cofounder of Connect and Heal.

  • India ranked first with 76 entries, followed by China (34), Japan (33), Singapore (30) and South Korea (28).

About Forbes 30 under 30 Asia Class of 2023: 

This marks’ Forbes’ 8th annual “30 Under 30 Asia” list featuring 300 young entrepreneurs, leaders and trailblazers across the Asia-Pacific region. 20 countries and territories are represented on this 2023 list.

  • The list features 30 notable honorees under each of the 10 categories: The Arts (Art & Style, Food & Drink); Entertainment & Sports; Finance & Venture Capital; Media, Marketing & Advertising; Retail & Ecommerce; Enterprise Technology; Industry, Manufacturing & Energy; Healthcare & Science; Social Impact; and Consumer Technology.

Key Points: 

i.Among the Indian winners of the Asia 2023 list, 16 were featured on Forbes India’s 30 Under 30 2023 list which was released in January 2023.

  • These 16 includes chef Niyati Rao, co-founder of Ekaa;  Kaushal Shetty, cofounder of Nostos Homes; Aashti Miller, founder of MillerInk; Harsh Agarwal, founder of Jaipur-based fashion label Harago; Misbah Ashraf, cofounder of Jar.

ii.Amrit Singh, cofounders of Loop Health; Baker and food influencer Shivesh Bhatia;  Akshay Rampuria and Yashovardhan Poddar, cofounders, Openhouse were the other notable indians on the list.

iii.The honorees of 2023 class were selected by a panel of judges in each category. The judges includes Roshni Nadar Malhotra, chairperson of HCL Technologies and trustee of Shiv Nadar Foundation; Meena Ganesh, cofounder and chairperson of Portea Medical, SD Shibulal, cofounder of Infosys and Axilor Ventures; and many more.

The judging factors includes funding and/or revenue, social impact, scale, inventiveness and potential and others.
