About Reliance Intelligence:
Launch: During the meeting, Mukesh Ambani, CMD of RIL, announced the launch of Reliance Intelligence Private Limited (Reliance Intelligence), an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-focused arm of RIL, with an aim to build sovereign, enterprise-grade AI infrastructure and services across sectors.
Partners: Reliance Intelligence has partnered with Google to establish a dedicated Google Cloud region in Jamnagar (Gujarat), powered by the clean energy infrastructure of Reliance and connected through Jio network.
- Reliance Intelligence has also partnered with Meta (formerly Facebook) to form a 70:30 Joint Venture (JV) worth Rs.855 Crores (approximately USD 100 million) in which Reliance will hold 70% stake and Meta 30% to deploy open-source AI models, particularly Llama models of Meta, for enterprise-grade AI services.
About AI Products:
The meeting witnessed the announcement of AI-powered products designed to revolutionize digital experiences across India.
JioPC: It is a cloud-based virtual Personal Computer (PC), that transforms a Television (TV) or screen into an AI-ready computer.
- It operates through a Jio set-up box, with a keyboard and mouse, where the applications, storage, and processing are hosted on Jio’s cloud. It offers Pay-as-you-go model, through which a user pays a monthly fee to access computing power through the cloud, eliminating the need to buy a laptop or desktop.
Riya: It is a voice-enabled AI assistant, integrated into JioHotstar through JioStar.
Jio Frames: It is an AI-powered smart glasses, equipped with multilingual voice assistant, High Definition (HD) camera, open-ear speakers, and seamless integration with Jio AI Cloud.
JioLenz: It is a personalized media viewing feature on Jio Hotstar, allowing users to switch viewing formats and angles.
Jio AI Cloud 2.0: An AI-powered cloud memory solution extending beyond standard storage functions by acting as an intelligent storage and retrieval system.
Reliance Foundation Vision:
During the meeting, Nita Ambani, Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, unveiled Vision for 2035 of Reliance Foundation.
Aim: Reliance Foundation aims to reach 400 million Indians, provide quality education to 300 million children, transform the lives of 100 million women, and empower 50 million rural households by 2035.
Projects: She also announced two landmark projects such as a 2,000-bed AI-enabled medical city with advanced diagnostics, a teaching hospital, and a global-standard healthcare, and a 130-acre green space, designed to enhance urban life in Mumbai.
