49th-edition-of-Paris-Masters-held-in-FranceThe 49th Edition of the Paris Masters officially known as 2020 Rolex Paris Masters) took place from November 2-8, 2020 at Palais omnisports de Paris-Bercy (Bercy Arena) in Paris, France. It is a Masters 1000 event and it is a part of the 2020 ATP Tour.It is conducted only for Men.

i.The Rolex Paris Masters is the ninth and final ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) Masters 1000 event.

ii.It was the final tournament of the Men’s Tennis season.

Surface Type – Hard court tournament (played on Indoor Hard Court).

Daniil Medvedev beats Alexander Zverev to win 2020 Rolex Paris Masters Singles Title:

Daniil Medvedev (Russia) defeated Alexander Zverev (Germany) to clinch the 2020 Rolex Paris Masters Singles Title. This is his First Paris Masters Title.

i.This is Medvedev’s 8th ATP title.

ii.He is the Fourth Russian to capture the Rolex Paris Masters Title. The other Russians are Marat Safin (2000, 2002, 2004), Nikolay Davydenko (2006), Karen Khachanov (2018).

iii.Daniil Medvedev’s win moved him to Fourth Rank in the Latest ATP Rankings.

Felix Auger-Aliassime and Hubert Hurkacz beat Pavic, Bruno Soares to clinch 2020 Rolex Paris Masters Doubles Title:

Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada), Hubert Hurkacz (Poland) defeated Mate Pavic (Croatia), Bruno Soares (Brazil) to clinch the 2020 Rolex Paris Masters Doubles Title.

i.This is the team’s First Doubles Title at the Paris Masters open.

ii.Auger-Aliassime (No.21) and Hurkacz (No.34) are the first team ranked in Top 50 in singles to win the Paris double title since French Nicolas Escude (No. 41) and Fabrice Santoro (No. 35) in 2002.

Rafael Nadal Completes 1000 Match wins:

Rafael Nadal (Spain) became the fourth man to reach 1, 000 match wins after his victory against Feliciano Lopez (Spain) in the Second Round of the 2020 Rolex Paris Masters Open.

i.Nadal joins the company of Jimmy Connors (1, 274), Roger Federer (1, 242) and Ivan Lendl (1, 068).

ii.Rafael Nadal was defeated by Alexander Zverev in the semifinals of the Tournament.
